The road bike tour begins and ends outside the Marina Praia da Vitória Hotel. Go to the northeast and then turn to the west at the roundabout, past the Paúl da Praia park., past the Paúl da Praia park. After 700m turn right and then keep to the left, and at km 1,3 go straight ahead at the roundabout, towards Lajes Airport. At km 5,9 turn left at the crossroads by Lajes church, and go up Rua Padre Gregório B. Rocha. Keep straight ahead at the crossroads and enter the parish of São Brás. At km 8,7 turn left, then at km 9,9 turn right onto the Quatro Canadas road. At km 11,2 turn right again and follow the EN 3-2. As soon as you have passed the Terceira Island Golf Course turn right onto the EN 5-2. At km 22,3, go straight ahead where the road crosses the path to the Algar do Carvão cave, and go straight on at the Biscoitos crossroads, passing the Lagoa das Patas Recreational Forest Reserve at km 28,3. Turn right at km 36,3 and follow the regional highway northwards, going through the Mata da Serreta area. Just after the Ponta do Raminho headland, begin the way back to Praia da Vitória, going through the civil parishes of Raminho, Altares, Biscoitos, Agualva, Vila Nova and Lajes. At km 72,2 turn right at the roundabout and continue on until you reach the next roundabout, at km 73, where you should take the third exit, passing the Municipal gardens, and returning to the starting point via the Rua da Alfandega.
